New Mannheim Potassium Sulfate Process
Process Characteristics:
The potassium sulfate process equipment is developed on the basis of Mannheim technology and German dry-type calcination method. Working together with other kinds of professional equipment, this new Mannheim potassium sulfate process can successfully avoids many process technical problems, like high temperature, high consistency strong acid corrosion, continuous feeding production, etc.
Compared with traditional process, this new Mannheim potassium sulfate process has many
advantages:
1. Large output: one set of equipment produces more than 40tons potassium sulphate products for one day.
The reaction furnace of this new Mannheim potassium sulfate process is independent and located between thermal insulation walls. According to the structure of reaction furnace, refractory materials are used to divide this furnace into top, wall and bottom to enlarge the heated area so as to increase the heat utilization rate. The heat from energy-saving coal burning furnace passes sequentially through furnace top, wall and bottom so that the heat can be absorbed as much as possible. In that way, the reaction volume inside the furnace is increased, thereby greatly increasing the output.
2. Low coal consumption:
The structure and materials of the reaction furnace allow for big heat utilization rate, which significantly decreases the coal consumption.
3. Low electricity consumption:
Two reaction furnaces share one set of support equipment and one set of absorption equipment. And the above mentioned production unit only consume about 230KW/h.
4. High absorption efficiency of hydrochloric acid and easy operation:
The hydrochloric acid absorption system of this new Mannheim potassium sulfate process is made of polypropylene. The alternate use of packed tower and graphite falling file absorber allows for higher absorption rate and better cooling effect. Tower body and circulation storage tank is designed with separate arrangement to increase the volume of circulation tank as well as reduce acid products discharging times, which is easy to operate and maintain as well as low costs. The circulation pump is directly-connected centrifugal pump, featuring longer service life and easy maintenance. The suction pipe between reaction furnace and absorber is made of high-temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials, featuring longer service life and less maintenance times. That’s out of the reach of silicon carbide reaction furnace.
